Sommelier Association of Singapore

The Sommelier Association of Singapore (SAS) was established and registered with the Registry of Societies, Singapore in 2007 by 10 industry professionals with the intent to grow and nurture the Sommelier profession in Singapore.

In 3 years, the Association grew to about 35 Singaporean professionals and whilst working closely with the guidance of the Japanese Sommelier Association, became a fully inducted member of the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI) in 2010. By 2014, the Association doubled in size and started to induct professionals from all countries. The Association also became a founding member of the SEAsia Sommelier Alliance together with neighbours Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines and Taiwan.

The Association now serves as a platform for all beverage industry professionals working in Singapore with over 100 Sommeliers and 30 trade partners constantly in the pursuit of professional growth and upholding industry support both locally and internationally.
